Description
This is the UK first pressing (588198) of the Led Zeppelin II with the 'Livin' Lovin' Wreck (She's a Woman)' mis- title on the label for Side 2 Track 2.
Matrix: 588198 A-2/ 588198 B-2
Vinyl condition: VG+/ VG+
Side 1: Visually, the surface has a nice shine but it has some light scratches. There is one light scratch which runs from the centre to around the start of track 1. There are also some other small light scratches mostly 'hairline' in nature- perhaps 8 or 9 ranging from 1cm to 8-9 cm.
The playback is mostly very good. There is some light surface noise mostly audible during quiet parts and/or between tracks. There were a couple of light 'pops' but nothing outside of the VG+ grading.
Side 2: Visually the surface is much cleaner than side 1 with far fewer surface marks. There are a few hairline/ light scratches.
There is some light noise again mostly audible during quiet parts (e.g. during the drum solo of Moby Dick).
Sleeve condition: VG (some light to medium edge- wear on bottom and top edges (see photos).The title spine has some light wear but the title and LP reference are fully readable.
Inner sleeve: EX condition. This may be a generic sleeve. It is a paper sleeve with a cellophane inner. It has very little yellowing. It has a British patent No. 800513 & 973939.
All vinyl is audio tested with Hitachi record player. Vinyl has been vacuum cleaned with HANSS Acoustics cleaning system prior to the audio test.
All gradings follow closely the Record Collector system.
