Description

A 2nd issue of Zep II on the USA Atlantic label. There are NO signs of Robert Ludwig markings - Please Note! The perimeter text exhibits the '1841 Broadway' address. The vinyl comes housed in a non-laminated heavy-card gatefold cover which mentions the "1841 Broadway" address. Also included is an Atlantic advertising inner sleeve from the time.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. By and large a pretty decent player with little to complain at. In 'Killing Floor' and 'Moby Dick' expect a couple of clicks midway through. Also, there's a bit of static crackle in the intro to 'Bring It On Home' it peters out reasonably quickly. Overall a pretty decent rendition of this original early copy.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has survived the years in far better condition than many of the early examples. First thing to mention is there seems to be no signs at all of ageing - which must be quite common on these textured delicate unlaminated sleeves. The interior looks great - pretty much immaculate. There's a bit of edge wear, but nothing too obvious. Please note that the bottom edge of the right panel (toward the opening) has split and has been carefully tape repaired. The spine looks great and hasn't aged at all with all text perfectly legible. There's a bit of wear along either edge of the spine - but the flat surface itself looks sweet and has not been damaged. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity thanks to the heavy-card employed.
Inner (Vg) Relatively unaged, but there are a couple of smallish side splits.
