LP in excellent condition, cover very good.  The LP is A2/B5 and has a deep shine and only a few light surface scratches visible under bright light. Plays beautifully all through with only occassional light background noise. Cover has no notable damage, spine fully readable, however does have some scuffing to edges, ring wear to rear cover and a couple of very minor creases - nothing significant, particularly given the 1969 vintage.  Also contains original inner bag.

I have played the LP on my hi-fi which consists of Michell Gyro SE with Shure V15 Mk V, Bryston amps and PMC OB1 speakers. The sound from these early Atlantic pressings is quite stunning - loud, dynamic and with loads of bass.

Packaging: My team of Oompa Loompa’s dispatch all records in bomb proof packaging. Each LP is also placed in a re-sealable plastic cover for additional protection.

Postage: as a result of the packaging there is a little extra weight and postage costs are slightly higher to allow for this and the costs of the packaging materials. Please recycle wherever possible or if you can’t be bothered I understand. After all, if global warming makes the average temperature in the south of England akin to that of St Tropez in another 2 decades I’m not going to complain. I am doing my bit to help by driving each purchase to the post office in my Aston Martin

UK POSTAGE: I send LP's by second class post. OVERSEAS buyers: I use standard Airmail. Postage costs are stated as per the individual item. You must request recorded delivery, next day delivery, signed for, 1st class or any other postal service. Alternatively, I can deliver personally if you wish to pay the petrol costs for my Aston Martin.

All items will be posted within 48 hours of payment - in practice most are dispatched within 24 hours as Oompa Loompa’s are very efficient.  They are never happier than when they are packaging your purchases.

I can accept no liability for any items that may be lost or damaged in the post.  Sadly, I cannot stop Royal Mail helping themselves or crack foxes who love stealing the odd bit of vinyl, particularly acid and house albums. 

If buying multiple items please request an invoice before paying as the postage will be discounted. 

Payment: I prefer payment by PayPal but will accept cheque (LP posted following clearance) and credit card via PayPal. Payment must be in Sterling. However, like many UK politicians I too am open to bribery and dodgy expense claims.

Refunds: I provide a full refund/returns policy. I am selling only quality used and occasionally new/sealed vinyl. However, occasionally there maybe a problem I wasn't aware of prior to shipping (even Oompa Loompa’s sometimes get it wrong). In this situation I will happily arrange a full refund or credit note once the LP is returned. If there is a problem please contact me with the details so that matters can be rectified ASAP and hopefully without the need for negative feedback. As George Dubya Bush knew, communication is everything.

Glossary of terms

Audiophile: someone who complains about the sound quality in the cinema/at a gig/at a friend of a friends’ party or BBQ. Also a person who talks about “finding the acoustic sweet spot”, although this could be a euphemism. Being an Audiophile is currently still legal in the UK and not a punishable offence.

160/180/200 gram: the weight of an LP. Not to be confused with the consumption of white or other powders.

Inner sleeve: not a magician's secret pocket. Most LP’s are placed into a new anti static inner sleeve after cleaning. The original inner sleeve is retained in the cover as it is often integral to the cover artwork and the value.

Anti static: as opposed to anti matter and the opposite of static. Static is not good for LP’s – makes dust, white powders, crack foxes and attack badgers stick to them.

Outer sleeve: plastic bag LP placed in for protection. Usually made from poly vinyl who as far as I know was not a 60’s female singer song writer.

Vacuum cleaned: lots of suction going on here but not the kind you’re thinking of. LP’s are cleaned on a trusty but very noisy VPI record cleaning machine using bio degradable cleaning fluid. No dumping toxic sludge onto a poor African country going on here.  

Vinyl: substance used to make LP’s, rather than clothing or 1960’s sofas. People who grew up with vinyl have a pathological love of it, claiming its superior sound quality compared to CD and the superior cover artwork, particularly in respect of progressive rock albums between about 1971 and 1979. They also conveniently forget how easily damaged vinyl can be and just how heavy even a handful of records are.

Clairifoil: a kind of nail varnish for album covers. Common place until the 70's. Always look for this to be intact, not lifting or peeling.

Shrinkwrap: a kind of LP condom like clingfilm. Helps protect cover from damage.

Analogue: as opposed to anal log or Yule log. How music used to be recorded, listened to and enjoyed before the digital age. AA sufferers (analogues anonymous) have an in built dislike of MP3, ipod and downloaded music because of its sonically inferior sound quality. As a result all meetings are kept underground.
