Description

PLEASE REVIEW ALL PHOTOS AND READ THE ENTIRE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY AS THERE IS A LOT TO DESCRIBE!

THE VINYL AND COVER ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION! BUT HAVE A FEW ISSUES TYPICAL WITH A 55 YEAR OLD LP.

THERE ARE SOME SURFACE MARKS ON THE VINYL THAT ARE TYPICAL WITH A VERY GOOD GRADING AND BEING A 55 YEAR OLD ALBUM.

THE SURFACE MARKS DO NOT ADVERSLY AFFECT PLAY, BUT THERE IS A NOTICEABLE, YET SUBTLE CLICK AT THE VERY END OF SIDE 2 THAT CAUSES A CLICK FOR 1 OR 2 ROTATIONS JUST AS THE MUSIC ENDS.

THERE IS A NAME WRITTEN IN PEN OR MARKER ON THE SIDE 1 LABEL.(please see pics)

ON THE INSIDE OF THE GATEFOLD, THE SAME NAME IS WRITTEN IN RED PEN and THERE ARE SEVERAL NOTATIONS NEXT CERTAIN SONGS IN RED PEN OR MARKER.(please see pics)

IF THIS IS A CONCERN FOR YOU PLEASE DON'T BUY IT!

PLAY TESTED! I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! But you will hear surface typical with a Very Good grading.

SUPER RARE COPY OF LED ZEPPELIN II KNOWN AS THE "RL/LH CUTS" VERSION.

Up for sale is one (1) Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II LP from 1969 on Atlantic Records (#SD 8236). First pressing with NO BARCODE.

This has a Side 1 pressing by ROBERT LUDWIG with "RL SS" in the Side 1 deadwax and has a Side 2 pressing by Lee Hulko with "LH SS" in the Side 2 deadwax. Known as the "RL/LH Cuts".

Pressing Plant ID (Columbia Terre Haute, CTH on labels):

(Side A bottom label): ST-A-691671CTH (Side B bottom label): ST-A-691672CTH

This is the early pressing mastered at Sterling Sound by Robert Ludwig denoted by RL SS on Side 1 and by Lee Hulko denoted by SS LH on Side 2.

Lee Hulko was in charge of remastering some of Side 2, which was the side that was causing the troubles with the original 2 sided RL mastered versions.

Matrix / Runout (A-side runout etched: T | ST-A-691671-1A RL SS

Matrix / Runout (B-side runout etched: T | ST-A-691672-D SS LH

First pressing with 1841 Broadway New York, N.Y. address on the labels.

The Vinyl is in Very Good condition, but has some surface marks that may cause surface noise typical with a Very Good grading. Even with a Very Good grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. Certainly more noticeable during the quiet parts.

The gatefold cover is in Very Good condition with the typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, scrapes, dings, fading, peeling, staining and ring wear all of which are typical. There are no split seams.

This cover typically doesn't age well, but this one is in Very Good shape.

The labels are in Very Good condition with some spindle marks and a name written on Side 1 label.

The LP is now in a plain white inner sleeve.

I obtained this LP in the early 1970's. It was gently played back in the day.

It has not been played in many years, until I recently played it prior to this listing.

I am thinning out my vinyl collection. This is the actual item you will receive. See the photos and judge for yourself.
