OTHER :  Original FIRST Japan vinyl press LP with blue/green labels of classic Led Zeppelin album. Gatefold sleeve, printed japanese insert. NO OBI. Price ¥1800 printed on the back of outer sleeve. Excellent vinyl !

DETAILED CONDITION:

VINYL :  Excellent. Several hair scuffs mostly on Side A. Side B is close to Excellent Plus. 

LABELS :  Excellent. Original blue/green labels. Slight browning just around the spindle hole on the both sides, slight dotting visible at an angle.

OUTER SLEEVE : Very Good Plus (VG++). The gatefold with minimal signs of mechanical stress (excluding some gray superficial scuffs due to age), but there is also a quite light brown spotting, mostly on the outside of the gatefold. Small superficial grey traces from scuffs. The inside of the gatefold is very beautiful, although a very small spotting is present here too (please see photos!). Slight corner wear. No tears.

OBI : NO OBI

JAPANESE INSERT: Very Good Plus (VG++). Flat clear surface, but slightly browned due to age, more around the edge. A few light brown spotting. One of the top corners is bent (please see photos!)

GRADING 

I only grade as mint where the record is brand new and sealed with no visible damage to the sleeve. 

Near Mint (NM):

Sleeve: Will only show very minor signs of storage/handling wear. It may have slight corner bumps/rub, ringwear and maybe very minor creasing. It will have no rips or splits.

Record: Will be in a new like condition. Very Clean. It may have very, very minor defects such as no more than a couple of very light wispy hairlines and a couple of spindle trails around the centre holes. Basically a record in NM condition will look like you have just got it back from the record shop or at worse only had a couple of plays.

Excellent (EX):

Sleeve: As NM but the signs of wear will become a little more pronounced. There may be signs of stress at the seams maybe the beginnings of a split. It may have a cut out hole indicating that it was taken out of print. There may be a little graffiti on the sleeve or label.

Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs than a NM. These marks won't be deep enough to be felt. There may be the odd click or crackle upon playback. Slight warps are that don't effect the sound are OK. 

Very Good (VG): 

Sleeve: A VG sleeve will have many of the defects found in a EX but more pronounced. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped or show residue. There may be small rips. It may show some age/handling discolouration. Laminate may be bubbled, may be marred with writing. 

Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will be more noticeable. Sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages.
