Here’s a very rare pressing of Led Zeppelin II. This is the very FIRST pressing of the album, which is known as the Bob Ludwig Loud Mix. The initials “RL” are in the trailoff on both sides. Copies of this album were recalled off store shelves when complaints from buyers rolled in. The music was recorded so loudly onto the disc that cheaper record players couldn’t track the grooves. But, when played on a mid to high end system, this record sounds absolutely awesome. I tried to get my camera to take an up-close picture of the RL, and it wasn’t too cooperative… but be assured it is there, plain as day. This is on the Atlantic label, number SD 8236, original pressing from 1969. The vinyl grades a strong VG or a weak VG+, depending on how picky you are. There is some wear and scuffing, but nothing really bad or deep. There is some writing on the labels and back cover. The matrix codes are (side one) ST-A-691671-MO-CC MR (in a circle) RL SS delta 13933 1 w AT. Side two is ST-A691672-MO-CC MR (in a circle) RL SS delta 13933-X W AT. Very hard one to find!!
