Description
LED ZEPPELIN II ROBERT LUDWIG HOT MIX RL SS Side One, LH SS Side Two. Both sides mastered at Sterling Sound. The CTH plant got a lacquer that was half RL and half LH (Lee Hulko, his partner) and side two has the same dynamics and thundering bass from mix and master based on Robert Ludwig’s mastering notes. Vinyl Grade Very Good -, Play Grades Very Good or better. See grading scale below for descriptions.
The 50+ year old record has scuffs and scratches with two short barely feelable scratches. Near the end of Heartbreaker is a small scratch but that track is so loud the music overpowers. A short scratch on Bring It On Home does a repeat tick. During the quietest song Thank You some repeat ticks are heard. As is typical of VG grade there is moderate lead-in crackle and between tracks and in background with quieter parts of music.
The Cover is graded Good due to heavy wear and stain on front, it has a split on top and bottom and inside gatefold shown in photos.
No Original Inner Sleeve. With MoFi audiophile sleeve and vinyl has been Spin Cleaned.
GRADING SCALE:
M Mint - usually reserved for sealed records.
NM Near Mint with only one or two insignificant defects.
EXC Extremely nice, would be NM except for a few light hairline scratches or scuffs which do not affect play.
VG+ A nice but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It may play with a few pops or ticks but no serious problems.
VG A well used record that still sounds OK but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
G A very worn record that plays through will do until a better copy comes along!
