Led Zeppelin II SD8236, Broadway address, first press.
First let me say, this record is in NM- condition. Not a scuff on it. Pressed on very thick heavy vinyl with a solid center where the label is placed, like those records pressed in the 60's.
This record is rare, it was pressed with two different labels. MGM and Presswell.
This record was pressed at the MGM record plant and their code is MG.They were in business for a short time around 3-6 months in 1968-1969, they had very very high quality control, and all of the other MG's I have had were MG both sides, but since this plant was only open for a few months during the pressing time of the LZII, leads me to believe they ran out of MG labels and they just got some side two labels from Presswell to obligate their contract. Hence the two different labels. No matter how this came about, it still has two different labels, and the record is in NM- condition meaning it is the best example of this mistake.
Only asking for 20.00, which is the going rate for a NM- non RL LZII anyways.
This was the record I kept with my NM LZII RLss so I could test the sound difference. Because it was in such exceptional condition, I just could not part with it until today.
