** Please read all the details below.  If you need clarification on any of the details, please call me before buying **

Deadwax Matrix Details:

Side 1:  ST - A - 691671 - B LW AT RL ss

Side 2:  ST - A - 691672 - A LW AT RL ss  (with NARROW deadwax)

Pressed at:  SP = Specialty Records Corp., Olyphant, PA

CONDITION  - I use the Goldmine grading system.

COVER - See photos above.  Cover is in VG+ condition.  Some would grade it higher but I think VG+ is a fair grade.  There are NO seam splits, NO tears.  Spine is FLAT and legible. There are some small initials on the back bottom right hand corner.  I included a photo an a 10c coin to show scale.  Front cover white area has retained it's colour but there is some dirty spots which is typical of this release.

INSERT - Original insert included.  Grade would be NM if not for the the seam splits.  But the item does retain it's original bright colours and the seam splits do not distract from the quality of the insert.  Item also comes with MFSL inner.

LABELS - Labels are in NM condition.  No spindle marks.  Who ever had this before me definitely took care to place the lp on the turntable to avoid spindle marks.

RECORD - I have play graded the entire lp from start to finish just before listing this item.  The lp was graded using a Linn LP12 turntable with a Dynavector 10x5 stylus.

If you are looking for a Mint archival copy this isn't for you.  But if you're looking for an enjoyable play copy read on.

I would give this lp a general grade of VG.  There is surface noise and some light pops (I counted about 8 light to medium pops) primarily in the lead in and in the silence between tracks which is generally typical of records of this age.  However, there it can also be heard during the quieter passages on the lp and hence I'm giving it a grade of VG.

The loudness does overpower the surface noise and at times I would say the grading almost approaches VG+ to NM.  But for the sake of customer satisfaction I'm going to go with a VG grade over all.  There is one exception to this grade and that's with the song "Thank You"

There is some damage to last part of "Thank You".  I have tried to capture this in the last two photos.  There are two marks which are audible through out the last quarter of the song.  The two marks cause repeated noise.  As a result of this I would grade this song VG-.  The rest of the song is VG to VG+ (when the music really kicks in) but the issues I just mentioned mean a lower grade of VG- would be better.

Although not in mint condition the issues mentioned above don't detract from how amazing this lp is.  Mr Ludwig did a great job on this one and the power mastering really comes through despite the occasional noise.  I really enjoyed listening to it.
