As mentioned above,
Rare, 1st OG pressing of this iconic LP from Led Zeppelin…It’s got “RL” and “SS” etched BOTH sides, and was pressed at Specialty Studios…First I’ve seen with “BO” etched in both runouts.. It’s in decent shape, compared to most of these out there that are trashed..The vinyl is a strong G+/VG minus; it looks decent, it’s got scuffs & “hairlines” but nothing deep like an actual feelable scratch..it’s been played but not abused. There is static, mostly during the quieter parts, and pops, but the sound definitely plays out and you can hear the great RL mix....I’ve cleaned it a couple times and every time the sound gets better..could use a thorough cleaning..
While Playing it I found two skips, one during the middle of “What Is And What Should Never Be” and halfway through “Black Dog”; strange but there are no actual marks or dings where the skips occur, so maybe they can be cleared up with a good cleaning.. vinyl still retains its deep black luster, labels are good, and the OG “matte” first issue cover is G+/VG minus with usual edge wear & tape along back page bottom edge..OG Atlantic inner sleeve....see pics and hear the video listed for audio sample..
You can definitely hear the excellent mix and pressing on this version …be sure to turn it up!
Check the uploaded video for an audio example,
I've seen these go all the way from $500 to $800..this is not one of those..It's more like a solid $100 “place holder” or reference record until that minty one comes along..so please keep that in mind when bidding
SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS! I’m listing a bunch of original classic rock vinyl!
- Shipped USPS Media Mail $3.85
Ask me for combined shipping deals on multiple albums.
Vinyl will be placed in it’s own anti-static sheath, separate from its cover, with the cover in its own clear sheath, sandwiched between two cardboard spacers & well packed in a standard record mailer, USPS Media Mail
Records have been given a basic cleaning, but I would recommend a proper cleaning to get even better sound and performance!Thank you
