Description
This vinyl record has been professionally cleaned and comes with a quality anti static inner sleeve and poly outer sleeve for your album’s protection. We package the vinyl outside it’s sleeve and only use quality Lil record mailers to keep your item safe during transit.
This is a genuine 1970 1st Press with the A5/B5 matrix numbers. It also has the etchings 'Do What Thou Wilt' and 'So Mote It Be'.
Both labels have the Peter Grant Executive Producer in the top half as well as the unhyphenated 2401002.
The original poly lined inner has a date 25 0670 in the bottom right hand side. This is prior to the official October release date.
The vinyl is visually in VG+ condition with light hairlines from previous play but no deep or feelable scratches or marks. Both sides played beautifully with no jumps or clicks and crackle only at the run-ins and now and again between songs - this was light and in no way distracting or intrusive. Sound quality was excellent all the way through. The labels are undamaged with very few spindle marks.
The outer gatefold is excellent with no major damage. The spinner works perfectly and the artwork is bright and clear. The spine is undamaged and fully readable. There is one light crease on the reverse of the sleeve all the way down alongside the spine - this is not overly noticeable but is visible. There is some very minor corner curling of the sleeve top layer. These are minor points and the sleeve is overall beautifully preserved for this 1st press.
I grade all of my records according to The Record Collector Magazines grading system.
I always test play my records on a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Turntable with Ortofon cartridge stylus unless they are in near mint/ mint condition and appear unplayed but the description will state this. I don't sell records with deep scratches or marks that affect the sound quality and enjoyment.
All of our Vinyl is professionally cleaned using a Pro-Ject VC-S record cleaning machine.
The vinyl is then packaged in a protective anti static sleeve, the whole album placed into a protective outer plastic sleeve and then posted in a robust top of the range custom cardboard record mailer.
