Description

An original 1st issue of Zep III on the UK Atlantic label from late 1970. Matrix A5/B5 - very 1st cut. Please note labels are the 2nd variant - you can find an earlier variation from Oct-70 the month of release. But, this copy will have been produced just a couple of months later whilst still riding high in the charts at Xmas'70. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day deluxe cover with spinning wheel cover. Also included is an original 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve date coded to 12-70...i.e. Xmas 1970. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a  few marks - a couple which are small but getting feelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. These early red & plum copies really are top-level performers and the audio is to die for! Interference is both minor and infrequent. In fact, we can only make out one issue, really, in 'Since I've Been Loving You'. A couple of the marks mentioned above cause 8-10 ticks in the mid/end section. But providing you can live with this relatively brief aberration the remainder of the LP will knock your socks off! 
Cover (Ex) In very nice condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. First thing to note is that some bright spark has tried to re-glue the internal parts of the front cover and this has lead to the spinning wheel essentially becoming fixed. So, please do not expect the wheel to move. Nice clean front and rear with just some light ageing creeping in at the extremities - as is common with this title. The interior looks great with minimal ageing. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine fully intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
