LED ZEPPELIN Led Zeppelin III (Atlantic 2401-002) 1970. Rare UK 10-track stereo LP on the plum & red Atlantic label without Peter Grant credit. German printed fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve with a rotating picture wheel (no central pin).
This first UK black vinyl pressing is with the original red/plum coloured label features a misprint on the label Side 1 Tr 3 listed as "Celebration" omitting "Day". The dead wax run-off contains the hand-etched A5/B5 matrix numbers together with "Do What Thou Wilt" and "So Mote It Be". The album is a blend of hard rock, folk rock, blues rock, and progressive rock genres. This original UK press and issue. For some reason the sleeve is printed in Germany. comes with its original fully laminated gatefold picture sleeve with rotating picture wheel insert. Supplied with its original poly-lined liner, made in England 31/0770 with boxed Plastic Bags Suffocation Danger printed in dark blue. Very rare misprint. An excellent play copy! Condition: Vinyl: Visually: VG+. Probably nearer excellent considering it is used, played and more than half a century old. Obviously loved and well looked after One or two innocuous very light surface hairline marks and a couple of marks on the dead wax run-in which also does not translate aurally. No visible damage. Some spindle marks. Aurally: Ex: Hardly a blemish. Plays perfectly or at least very near, no clicks nor scratches nor jumps, there may be one or two very light, barely audible surface ticks. Lovely clean copy but may benefit from a professional machine clean. Sleeve: VG+: Light corner rubbing and a little scuffing to the open edge. Signs of light general use and light wear. Four short hairline creases emanating from the spine. Some minor surface blemishes to the reverse sleeve. Light crease/dint to the front top left corner which is also visible to the reverse top right corner and to the top of the spine in the gatefold inner spread otherwise the inner spread and picture wheel are near perfect. Liner: VG+: Signs of light use and light wear. Brown discolouration to the bottom edge. No damage and perfectly serviceable sleeve, no tears, seam splits or significant damage. The vinyl is also housed in a new poly-lined white paper liner. Track Listing
