They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning. I can’t test-play at the minute.

Led Zeppelin IV 1971 First Pressing LP Porky, Pecko Duck Rarer 75 Rockefeller Address, VG/VG+!

(I showed this classic album cover to my 26 year-old nephew and asked him if he knew the name of this band. He looked at the old man in the photo and said, “…uhhhh, Styx?” Sorry, I wasn’t laughing with him…)

Collectors know that the scarce first pressing had 1841 Broadway labels. But few collectors are aware that a small number were pressed with the 75 Rockefeller address.

Plates also feature slightly earlier than what I’m used to seeing.

Nice, hot mix!

Much harder to find one of these.

Vinyl--- Strong VG to VG+. Both sides have very light angel hairs and only a few very light scuffs, none of which can be felt with the fingertip. 85% original shine. Nice disc.

Plates--- “Porky” ST-A-712285-C, AT/GP, PR/ “Pecko Duck” ST-A-712286-C, PR

This copy has the earlier “C” plates. Most copies that I see with “Porky” usually have “E” and “F” plates. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a “D” plate.

Cover--- VG. This is the darker, full gloss cover, as opposed to the more common lighter semi-gloss. See compere photo. Inside pocket has yellowed over the decades. Top and bottom seams have moderate shelfwear. Spine has heavy wear. NO SPLITS TO SEAMS OR SPINE.

Gatefold--- EX. Also has the full-gloss, darker graphics. Center seam is showing signs of the gloss cracking, but there are NO SPLITS.

Labels--- NM/NM. They both look newly-printed. NO SPINDLE MARKS, EITHER SIDE.

Inner Sleeve--- VG. Sleeve is the much heavier paper stock from the first run, before it was switched to the paper bag thickness of the second run. Side seams are completely solid, no splits. But unfortunately as with this sleeve, the bottom seam has a center split, about 3 inches long. Hardly any wrinkles to the sleeve at all, and only a slight record outdent.

Sleeve still presents very well!

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Atlantic inner sleeve en route.

Check your copy. I’ll bet you have the 1841 Broadway address! This one’s much harder to find.
