Description

Led Zeppelin IV 1971 White Label Promo SD 7208 Liner Hype Sticker Vinyl Record LP

This is a 1971 White Label Promo copy, Atlantic SD 7208 with “Sample Copy Not For Sale” on the label.  Side 1 has “Porky” in the deadwax static and Side 2 has “Pecko Duck.”  “PR” is etched in the deadwax as well. 

Disc: Side 1 has some visible scuffs that didn’t seem to affect the audio to a great degree, with some minor surface noise but no noticeable clicks.  Side 2 has some VERY noticeable scuffs through tracks 1 and 2 (see pics).  Surprisingly, on our turntable (with a very light setting), the scuffs produce just a single-rotation click that is noticeable but does not overpower the audio.  By “Going to California,” the play seemed very clean.  On our equipment, the entire record played through without skips or repeats and proved to be a very good player overall.

Jacket: Ring wear more noticeable on the back and the outside, not the gatefold.  Edge wear but no splits.  It seems to be slightly rumpled, possibly from being stored on un-sleeved records, but the jacket is perfectly intact.  The inner gatefold has scuffing on the edges, but the picture is very nice.  It has both original promotional stickers on the cover.  Very slight scuff on the front picture. 

The textured inner lyric sleeve is included along with a generic sleeve to hold the record.

This is by no means perfect, but a very representable copy of a true collector item in music history.  Please message for further questions.
