Description
This is a rare UK 1st press of Led Zeppelin IV. A3/B4 matrix and the rare crossed out and then corrected matrix on Side 1. It has the original ‘Pecko Duck’ and ‘Porky’ hand etched in the run out. It contains the rare label error 'Misty Mountain Top' instead of 'Misty Mountain Hop' and is pressed on the earliest heavy vinyl. The sound quality is excellent and it plays well. I understand only a few thousand presses exist with this exceptional original sound and even fewer also have the unique 'Misty Mountain Top' label misprint. The record is complete with the 1st press printed inner sleeve and the lightweight matt gatefold sleeve.
condition of record: mostly Excellent condition but there are some lighter pops and clicks on track2 side 2 ( four sticks) and a small visible surface scratch here. The vinyl has original gloss, there is no whitening or any wear at all to the grooves, and no marks or surface scratches other than that noted. When played the sound is truly exceptional - very bassy, rich, deep sound and extremely clear. It plays through faultlessly on all but fur sticks, i don't think this impairs the pleasure of the record.
The rare mispress label is in Excellent Condition. The inner sleeve also is in Very good condition, there is a side split where the record itself has gone through.
The matt gatefold sleeve is in Good condition. The picture is still bright and sharp and mostly the cover is excellent but there is wear to the outer spine . The inside is very good, the black is solid and the picture is perfect.
I will post as soon as payment is received and cleared. Please note that the postage quoted is for standard delivery, if signed delivery is required I shall need to check prices.
