For auction:
Led Zeppelin - IV, 4, Untitled, 1972, UK, Atlantic K 50008, transitional Kinney copy, A3 / B3 matrix.
Stunning NEAR MINT to MINT condition gatefold sleeve, flip-back inner and vinyl.
The cover is in NEAR MINT condition, showing only minor storage wear, clean, vibrant colours, perfect spine, no ring wear!
The inner is the first/second issue inner sleeve. Unusual for this transitional copy.
Flipback seams outside, with four credits ( later copies have 5 credits listed). This is the inner that came with this copy when purchased.
No seam split, perfect condition , just a 1 cm paper tear on top, hardly visible. NEAR MINT overall condition.
The vinyl is fantastic, remains in near as new condition, NEAR MINT, shows minimal evidence of play (some spindle lines, just a few faint paper hairlines, not affecting play)
With transitional matrix, stamped and hand etched:
Side one: 2401012 A //3 11 K 50008 A, Pecko Duck
Note the matrix error- incorrectly stamped B// which was then crossed out
Side two: 2401012 B //3 12 K 50008 B, Porky
“Misty Mountain Top” error on side two.
This is a stunning copy, the best I have seen, definitely an upgrade for any serious Led Zeppelin completist and increasingly hard to find in this condition.
