Played in its entirety today on my budget deck and sound is excellent. Clear and loud. No jumps, sticks or repetetive clicks- in fact - no faults at all.. Litle background noise. If there is a fair bit of interest ill play it in its entirety on my better deck before the listing ends (my good deck is upstairs and i dont like moving it so the budget deck is next to computer downstairs). Cover is firm and square. Cover has light edge wear, corner wear and creasing. Very clean but worn spine. Inner also clean but is split across bottom edge and has pretty heavy feathering across top edge. No Gothic print text- this is early!!. Very clean labels. Grading system: “Record Collector” Grading System MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. Played in its entirety tonight on my Ariston RD-80 transcription Deck. Sounds great- songs like "When The Levee Breaks" are just awesome. There is a touch more background noise than the budget deck picked up but this is mainly between the tracks with a touch on the quieter parts of "Stairway" and "California". I would grade this as VG+ to EX as there is very little lessening in sound quality.
