Description
This is one of my own Lp's Purchased when it first released, played a few times but then stored, and forgotten about!! It is listed as an auction sale, but decent offers in excess of the starting price will be considered...But please remember that this is a first pressing, when you consider your offers. Thanks for looking at my listing.
Led Zeppelin Untitled (Led Zep 4/Zoso/4 symbols) 1971 ORIGINAL VERSION 1. Condition is Used. I purchased this new on a home trip while posted in Germany, but it is a UK record. The Label proudly says "Made in Great Britain"
The outer and inner sleeves have some wear, but the Cover has a small 1/2 inch split along one side of the bottom, and has some fraying along there also. The inner sleeve has split right across the bottom, so if you purchase this, be careful removing the sleeve and LP from the cover. . There is some fraying on the edge corners of the Cover also, but not at all bad for an LP from the early 70's.
The LP itself has very little marking on it. There are a few small scuffs, and the odd small scratch, but nothing that I believe will interfere with the playability of this LP. It has a couple of light marks which can only be seen in the right light. There is a small P sticker attached to the label... see pictures..
Some of the identifiers of this original version 1 are listed here:
- 1st UK pressing on 'plum' label which is red/white/plum. Feather symbol on side 2 is inverted. This label layout identifies the first pressing. It is part of the first production batch of the UK red/plum Atlantic label for this title.
- Executive Producer credit for Peter Grant on the record label (which was removed in various ways from all subsequent pressings).
- Heavyweight un-laminated gatefold sleeve, printed and made in England.
- Inner sleeve has lyrics to 'Stairway to Heaven' on one side and track titles and credits on the other. The first inner sleeves are dark gray with two foldback edges to the side.
- There are currently 8 verified and known 'plum' label variants. This is the original version 1.
The marking on the LP as far as i can make out are:-
Side A Pecko Duck 2401012 XX (strikethrough) // A//3 1 2 Side B Porky 2401012 B // 4
This will be packed in a proper LP postal box, and will be sent fully tracked via RM.
