Description

Led Zeppelin - IV (UK Vinyl LP Orange/Plum Label with inverted feather Side 2)

Rare early UK pressing with upside down feather logo on Side 2 label and "Marketed by Polydor Records Limited" on bottom of labels. No Peter Grant credit on the labels. Dark grey inner sleeve.

The Vinyl is in Very Good condition.Glossy vinyl and great audio. Some light surface marks and two small scratches - one at the beginning of Side 1 and the other at the beginning of Side 2. The Side 1 scratch produces some light clicks whilst the Side 2 scratch does not produce obvious clicks. There are some light crackles in the quieter passages of music.

The gatefold sleeve is in Very Good  condition. Just some scuffs on the spine and edges.

The printed inner sleeve is in Fair condition only as it is split the full length of both edges and along most of the bottom edge. There is also a piece missing on the top right of the "Stairway" lyric side (see photos).

The labels are clean and unmarked.

ALL THE ALBUMS I SELL ARE VERY SECURELY PACKAGED WITH AT LEAST TWO STIFFENERS AND NEW PLASTIC SLEEVES. I ONLY USE THE HIGHEST GRADE PROFESSIONAL PACKAGING TO ENSURE THE RECORDS ARRIVE IN THE CONDITION I STATE IN MY LISTINGS.

I COMBINE POSTAGE AND PACKING COSTS FOR MUTIPLE SALES TO A MAXIMUM OF 5 SINGLE LPs (DOUBLES COUNT AS 2 LPs). THIS IS DUE TO THE SHARP INCREASE IN COSTS ONCE A PACKAGE GOES OVER 2KG IN WEIGHT.

Grading

I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion ans mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.

Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.

Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
