Description

Led Zeppelin LP - Rare Turquoise 1969

This sale is for a copy of the debut Led Zeppelin LP from 1969.

I believe this is an original first pressing with "Turquoise" lettering based on the information I have been given. Details are:

Album: Led Zeppelin ?– Led Zeppelin

Label: Atlantic ?– 588171

Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Turquoise lettering

Country: UK

Released: 28 Mar 1969

I have checked, and the "matrix run outs" appear to be 588171 A//1 and 588171 B//1 1.

As in the photos the publishing credits are for Superhype Music/Jewel Music Publishing.

Details of the various pressing can be found at www.discogs.com/release/1218217

The LP has many small marks, light surface scratches, and wear, but the labels are in very good condition.

The LP plays all the way through without skipping, but there are pops and crackles and surface noise.

The sleeve is quite worn and the glue has split down one side and there is a small tear (see photos). It has also been repaired with tape at some point.

The inner sleeve is plain white (slightly yellowed with age) and stamped "made in England".

Based on the discogs.com grading scheme, this is in GOOD condition as defined as:

"A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback".

Please note I am not a music expert, but if you have a question I will try to answer quickly if I can.

I have tried to show as much detail as possible in the photos.

Thanks for looking.
