Description

led zeppelin - led zeppelin III, atlantic 2401-002. extremely rare copy of this album released in 1970, with the original plum and red labels, with the second press catalogue number with the dash in the middle dividing it up, and no "produced by jimmy page, executive producer peter grant" wording credit. the cover however is the glossy gatefold with the diecut circular wheel on the front, but has a german catalogue number under the "atlantic deluxe" logo on the front (SD 7201) and has made in germany printed on the bottom right corner of the back. the vinyl itself is in stunning like new shape with a brilliant bright sheen to the surface and literally a couple of the feintest hairlines from handling. its a stunning copy, but a bit of an anomoly.

i forgot possibly the most important bit..the matrices!

Side A: 2401002 A-5 "Do what thou wilt" all hand etched (without the quotations), 147 machine stamped backwards, and a three letter signature - also hand etched,
Side B: 2401002 B-5 GHC "So mote it be" all hand etched (without the quotations), 129 machine stamped backwards, and a three letter signature - also hand etched.
to the best of my eyesight thats what i can read, the 3 letter signatures are hard to make out so ive just stated that they are definitely there. hopefully this clears up any questions about just how authentic this is.
