Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Very Good + (Quite a sharp and clear sound, minimal audible crackle throughout the tracks, minimal background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, a few barely audible light clicks per revolution of the needle at back end of track 3 and then at the start of track 4 on side 1 for 10 seconds or so. There are also some light clicks per revolution at the back end of track 4 on side 1 for 15 seconds or so. Some light clicks per revolution on the first song for on side 2 for 10 seconds or so. There are also some light clicks per revolution on the third song for on side 2 for 20 seconds or so.VG+ sound quality (Playtested 14th December 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good + (there are quite a few very light superficial hairline surface marks over both sides of the record but none of these affect playback of the record, there are 2 or 3 more feelable hairline scratches on  the record though and these slightly affect playback of the record by causing some of the light pops/clicks mentioned above, the record looks to have been played on a number of occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for reasonably well, there are some light papers traces as well where the record has been taken in and out of the inner sleeve, labels are clean with no rips or tears to the label, there are no pen marks writing on the label either, there is only very slight wear to the spindle holes)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no major creasing to the front corners apart from a slight bottom left corner crease, no major creasing to the rear corners, no serious laminate lifting or peeling to the front or rear sleeve, there is no spine splits and there is no spine rubbing/wear and the spine is clearly legible, no rear G/F top edge or bottom edge splits and there is no wear/rubbing to the rear top or bottom edges on the G/F, the front G/F sleeve top and bottom edges are not split but the glue has come away but this is easily remidied, only very slight corner rubbing, no major rips or tears in the sleeve, very minimal ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve either, not much noticeable discolouration/staining apart from some cellotape that has been removed along the top and bottom front edges that has slightly discoloured but to be honest you can barely tell, rotating wheel sleeve is fully working, overall a decent sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
