Description
One copy of the Classic Records reissue of Led Zeppelin’s fourth, untitled album sometimes known as Led Zeppelin IV or ZOSO. This is the out-of-print 180 gram version (not the newer, but also out-of-print, 200 gram version).
This album is inscribed SD-7208-A / SD-7208-B and with the initials BG for Bernie Grundman, the remastering engineer. I verified it is the 180 gram pressing with a scale.
This album comes from my private collection and I am the original owner. I have listened to it several times on a well cared for turntable.
This album looks and sounds fantastic. The cover and album are in immaculate condition (NM/NM).

The album will be packed in a professional LP mailer with heavy cardboard pads on either side. The album will be removed from the outer sleeve for transport.
UPDATE - 2/21
I have play-graded this album due to requests, my grade remains Near-Mint.I have now play-graded my copy of LZ-IV. I also play graded my Classic Records version of LZ II tonight. The difference is amazing. By all accounts, the master tapes for LZ II are inferior, therefore any release is wil have the some of the same flaws. The contrast to LZ-IV, however, is very apparent.
The noise floor on LZ-IV is among the quietest I have heard. This is particularly apparent during the intro to Stairway ... All you hear is Page and Plant.
Since I had to play-grade after my kids were in bed tonight, I did so on headphones. I generally don't prefer headphones, but I must say they really let you hear the full dynamic range and on Classic Records LZ IV it is very wide. The louds are very loud but you can still hear an asbsence of noise during the quieter sections.
This album sounds as good as it did the first time I listened to it. I would rate it mint except for three reasons:
1) The auction winner might find a flaw that I didn't and provide negative feedback.
2) It has been played and therefore can't be rated mint (according to Goldmine Grading Standards)
3) I noticed tonight, under bright lights that there appears to be a scuff or mark on the vinyl, definately not severe enough to be called a scratch. This is only apparent when held at just the correct angle to the light. I am not convinced it isn't inherent to the vinyl and happened before the pressing. I didn't hear anything from this artifact.
Therefore my rating of Near Mint stands.
