Description
YES!!!! This is the original Ultra Rare 1st Pressing on the Red/Maroon (Plum) Atlantic label of Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin. This is part of a collection of rarities currently listed so do please check them out as well.
The famous sleeve with the turquoise lettering has seen better days (see photos). At some point someone has put cellotape around the edges and then taken it off leaving some damage and a sticky residue particularly on the rear. There are a few bumps and a 3cm split on the spine. As such I grade it VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-)
The vinyl however is very interesting. Both labels are, as you can see, free of writing. This is, of course, the very 1st pressing and as such has the A//1 and B//1 matrix numbers. It also has the SUPERHYPE credit, confirmation that this is the earliest and 1st pressing. Both surfaces have a lot of wispy surface lines however playback is absolutely superb. Communication Breakdown is my personal favourite track by Led Zeppelin and it sounds fantastic here. If I was grading this vinyl on how it sounds I would say it is excellent however due to the surface lines I will grade it VERY GOOD MINUS(VG-).
