Description
Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
1975 album on Swan Song SSK 89400
Sought after 1st Pressing - 484 Kings Road Address On Rear Sleeve - No Warner Logo On Labels
Matrix numbers: A1/B4/C1/D1
I would grade first vinyl (sides 1 &2) as "Excellent". Visually there are just some fine sleeve marks and audibly there is nothing more than a light static crackle in quiet sections. The second vinyl (sides 3 & 4) is not quite as good, there's more in the way of sleeve marks and light scratches & scuffs, leading to more obvious but light crackling and static sound than the other one, although no big clicks or skips. Would grade as "Very Good"
Unfortunately the outer sleeve has suffered major damp damage and has a part of the bottom right missing (see pics). I would grade the outer sleeve as no better than "Poor". The spine is readable though. The inner sleeves are much better, although there is wear and damage on the bottom edges. The inner printed credits fold-over is quite badly stained, although all the text is readable.
It is because of the poor sleeve that I am starting this sought after album at such a low price.
Why am I selling records?
Due to a planned downsizing of our home I am selling my entire collection of vinyl records over the next few months, so take a look at my other items. I am not a dealer or a professional collector, but I will attempt to grade the items using the UK Record Collector Grading System (see below). All the records will be carefully cleaned and listened through before grading. If you disagree with my grading or are unhappy with the item you receive, please contact me first, before giving me negative feedback, I will do my best to resolve matters. The majority of my collection has been barn stored and unplayed for the last 25 years, and when in use were played on good equipment (Garrard 125SB deck) and well looked after.
Postage and Packing
Records will be securely packaged and despatched as soon as possible using Royal Mail second class small parcel service. Cost is £2.85 for up to 2 Kg (or £3.95 with a signature for higher value items). If you buy more than one record then send me a message and I will package together and send you an invoice with just one postage charge. You can get about 4 or even 5 albums under 2 Kg.
UK Record Collector Grading System

Mt- = Near Mint: In brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents nearly perfect.
Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG+ = Better than Very Good: Obviously been played but no significant deterioration in sound quality despite light surface marks. Very little wear and tear on cover and contents, without any major defects.
VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.
Gd+ = Better than Good: Sound quality has deteriorated but with no distortion. Light scratches and occasional mild scratch. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges but not spine splits or discoloration.
Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
