Cover
The first press uk cover is in a strong and solid EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT+ condition..a fantastic copy with no tears, stickers or writing. Both edges have no splits and are solid. On the bottom corners there is very slight rubbing. This has been stored since new in a Plastic sleeve-good condition.
The red writing on the spine is like new-highly legible.
All windows are intact with no tears or splits or any damage.
I don’t think you could find a better used copy of the sleeve.
The 2 original inners which are made out of thick cardboard (not thin like the reissue) are in Excellent + condition. No writing or tears. All corners are sharp. All artwork is pristine.
Wraparound cover
The original white wraparound cover which is the first issue gothic print finishers ltd press cover is in Excellent condition. There is slight yellowing overall and a very light crease to top edge. All corners are sharp.
Labels
The labels all appear to be in MINT- condition
Visual-signs of play, light scratches but still has nice gleam graded as Ex –
Played through on Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck with Nagoaka cartridge at 1.7g.
This has been listened to at high volume to highlight flaws-these may not be so audible at regular listening levels. I am being very critical. I collect vinyl and realise the importance of accurate descriptions.
Some static mentioned could be removed with access to a Record cleaning machine.
Excellent dynamics ,full bass with guitars shining through. Massive soundstage
Side one.
Static on intro—not audible on music/intrusive
Some static heard on track three quiet passages
Coughing at end very clear !
Side 2
Static between tracks non intrusive into music.
Trampled under foot sounds great-really funky!
Kashmir ,2 very light ticks-2 revolutions only.
No static at end run out.
Side 3
X 2 very quiet pops before music.
Bron-Y- Aur is effected by static-which may be removed if cleaned professionally.
Down by the Seaside has light static behind the quiet passages-being critical here.
Ten Years Gone-static on acoustic intro-probably the worst track for noise but not audible once track comes in with drums etc. This track would be graded as Good only.
Side 4
Has minimal static.
Overall this plays through very nicely ,there are no nasty clicks or pops.
This is not in Mint condition as some sellers describe but is a very nice copy with excellent sleeve and is priced favourably to sell.
