Description

Led Zeppelin 1st original US SD-8216 mislabel. This copy is as good as it gets. flawless record and the cover is unbelievable with slight minimal wear for 47 years. I received this copy from a Atlantic sales Rep from the midwest. He stated to me that he never played it, which from the condition, i can believe. Since I've owned it, i have played it 3 times, all 3 times just to hear the long pause from Black Mountain Side to Communication Breakdown (which it does). 
This was copied from their discography :
Label variant: (Atco) purple/brown Stereo labels that were only produced on Atlantic releases when pressed at RCA Records Pressing plant, Indianapolis. Some say these issues are "club" issues but no proof on release. Others feel that these were created from stock Atco labels to fill the need. "Club" or press error, a very rare label. 

From bsnpubs: This label is rare and only appeared on a few titles from around 8130 to 8200. The Led Zeppelin album error commands premium prices, since not only is the label in error, but side 1 of the album is a different mix from the regular pressing. 

Also side 2 does sound a little different from the standard issue. There is a long pause between "Black Mountain Side" and "Communication Breakdown", where the standard issue had no silence at all. And there is an unusually long silence between "Communication Breakdown" and "I Can't Quit You Baby", much longer than was on the standard issue.
Grading is as followed
Cover: EX+ (strict conservative grading) Very slight ring wear on back cover, lightly worn to corner, tiniest lower, crisp strong spine, and nice vibrant colors throughout.
Vinyl: NM (strict conservative grading) This copy is virtually NEW, i only played it 3 times. i can't find anything scuff's of any kind. only some light minimal wear on the side 2 label.
