Description
Led Zeppelin, Self-Titled Debut, Atlantic Stereo, SD 8216 (1) Matrix numbers are ST-A-681461-A, ST-A-681462-A. (2) A whole slew of initials on the dead wax: "LWP" (sideways) next to "AT", "RG" and "W" (on both sides). (3) "1841 Broadway, New York NY" on the label and on the back cover "1841 Broadway, New York, New York 10023."
Vinyl: Near Mint Minus... I counted two or three very low-volume clicks on the whole thing. In the barely-audible range, there are some scattered ticks, although you won't hear them unless (like me) you are specifically listening for them, or have your ear planted next to the speaker (not recommended). Overall, the experience is essentially that of listening to a problem-free album with excellent sound quality.
Covers: Excellent... A little bit of embedded dirt on the back cover. Virtually no on fraying along the edges, the spine is fine. No ring-wear on the front cover, just a trace on the back. The cover graphic is bright and fresh-looking.
Packaging includes original inner sleeve, new audiophile inner sleeve, new outer sleeve, cardboard padding, bubble-wrap and a thick cardboard record box.
