Led Zeppelin Thailand EP Black Dog - 4 Track (4T-970) Thai 7" EP.

Sleeve is a VG-. It's obviously a bit worn but I can see no splits in the seams. You can judge the sleeve with your own eyes. I have not enhanced the photos to make images appear better than the sleeve & labels/vinyl are.

The vinyl is VG+. The sound is rather good considering it's an unofficial Thailand EP - There were zero skips while playing the record and the "Thai" hiss didn't seem to detract from the quality of sound. There are no large scratches in the vinyl. The sound of the music is rather deep & crisp!

The lamination over the labels (I'd grade the labels themselves as a strong G+/VG-) on side A is starting to peel a bit, and there is obvious storage mishandling as the white in the labels has brownish spots in various areas.

So all in all, I would grade the entire record - Sleeve, Vinyl, Sound, Labels as VG-

I am incredibly honest & forthright in my descriptions about the conditions of every single record that I list. I have purchased many records throughout time - with the grading misleading - and also edited photos of the sleeves especially; making them appear in better condition than they really are in reality. I refuse to do that to any customer.

Grading Thai/Iranian/Malaysian, etc. records is a somewhat of a difficult task.

One must always factor in the going on of 60 years of mishandling/disregardful storage, but ESPECIALLY the atmospheric conditions  - the weather related impact on the condition of the sleeves especially - and in particular Southeast Asia.

In the case of Iranian/Persian unofficial releases - after the political upheaval in the 1970's, all Western music was banned, the possession of Beatles records was illegal and one would face persecution. Most were destroyed. What remains are gems!

Also one must consider the quality of the "pirate" record pressing companies machinery & attention to the final results of the pressed records.

These records were not produced in large quantities whatsoever. If so, there would be tons of duplicate listings on both Ebay & Discogs.

Besides  acetates & some demo pressings cut/produced by official record pressing companies, these unofficial releases are among the rarest copies in existence!
