Description

An original 1st of SONGS on UK Swan from 1976. Matrix A/B/C/D. Etching "EG". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original textured and embossed cover. There were various revisions of this cover - but a true 1st should look just like this one. It will also state 'Made In England' on the back page. The early copies should have two black quality inner sleeves with ellipse thumb notches at the top. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In truly beautiful condition and don't seem to have hardly been touched. The surfaces are like mirrors - I'm struggling to make out more than one insignificant mark per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback across four sides. Think about it - that's a super hard find. This is effectively a time-capsule copy. I'd like to pretend that they pop up every month - but that is far from the reality! This copy is going to deliver you the perfect rendition of this classic Zeppelin live title. Perfect clarity. Super resolution. Pretty much silent background at all times. You will hear some of the low-level effects and intricacies you are NEVER going to hear on even decent playing copies. Scarily good at reproduction. Fully tested this copy knocks the ball outta-the-park. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side [e.g. super lowkey start of NO-QTR]. But those lowkey fussy tracks are playing EXTREMELY GOOD. Never heard better. Never seen better. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex+) Really remarkable when you see a copy like this surface. Just the sheer amount effort [or lack of effort!] that has gone into keeping something in this condition since 1976 [staggering]. Perfect colour retention and not a whiff of surface wear - which is extremely unusual on this title. And I mean this sincerely - no matter how close you get to it....there's NONE observable. All that intricate embossing - perfect! The interior is literally perfect - it is basically like turning the pages of a copy you've just purchased from the shops the day before. FULLY intact. FULLY untouched - perfect. There's no edge wear really - at all. The spine is nigh on perfect. The openings are firm and sharp. Basically it is perfect all round. Superb rigidity. FINAL UPGRADE.
Inners (Ex) No splits. Excellent order. Just a couple of fingerprints - could be cleaned.
