Description
91cm x 61cm original 1968 poster, issued by Atlantic records to promote Led Zeppelins' debut album in the USA that year. The wording across the top reads NOW ON ATLANTIC/ AMPEX STEREO TAPES 8-4 TRACK CARTRIDGE, & CASSETTE, with the familiar Atlatic logo beneath the bands' name. Folded into 9 sections from new and with two paper knife tears (also from new, I would guess), the first a 50cm split from the D of LED down in a slight arc to the tip of Jimmy Pages' right hand. The other a smaller 15cm tear that start just 3cm from the bottom of the poster and runs up the left side of the crease in the paper, ending adjacent to JP Jones' mouth. The poster has been stored inside an album cover for many years, so the colours are sharp and vivid, and there is no fading apparent anywhere. I have placed it inside this frame to demonstrate how well it displays despite the damage, and of course for protective purposes. It will, when sent out, be mailed between two stiff card sheets, as the creases are well established in the paper now, and rolling it would risk further damage. Very rare item - low start price, no reserve.
