Description
This is a early Uk pressing orange plum colored labels with the date 1969 the # 588198 and the Made In Gt. Britain printed on the top of the label and Polydor Records Limited on the bottom. The dead wax matrix are 588198 A"5 11 on side one and 5 88198 with an inverted triangle B"4 144 on side two .I have had this LP since the late 80s and purchased it in a record store in CT. only because of the early UK label A few years later I went to the same shop and he told me the story of the Robert Ludwig pressings and had a copy which was like new condition and purchased it for like $20.00 and eventually purchased another one in the late 90s . So I really never this copy the UK pressing. I believe this is a third pressing first edition with all the misprints corrected , with Lemmon Song Living Loving Wreck and Thankyou corrections made. The overall condition is the way it was when I purchased it some 35 years ago. The vinyl is side one VG paper sleeve wisps and some surface scratches no skips side two is VG with a noticeable scratch on Moby Dick and the end of Heartbreaker and the beginning of Living Loving Maid.t here are no skips The cardboard sleeve is in VG condition with the gatefold inlay in VG+. The original paper sleeve Is in VG condition with discoloration with printed in Gt. Britain on the bottom. Though this pressing is not the Robert Ludwig pressing it is better dynamically and better sonically than the classic records Grundman repressing as well as the Mobile fidelity late 70s repressing. Because I replayed this LP over again this weekend and do not believe side one is VG+ but VG. a little to much surface noise.
