Led Zeppelin
L.A. Forum-LP
LZ1234-stereo33 1/3 rpm 2 LP set by Led Zeppelin. The music in this set was recorded on September 14, 1971. All reports say that this was a stunning appearance by the group. Online sources lists this LP set as a "very good stereo audience" recording. Live recordings from this era typically do not stand up to current standards. This is true, however, our opinion is that this one comes closer than most have heard. Recording is clean without the usual tinny sound. Bass level is unusually high (bass is hard to record unless you close-mic it), although a little muddy. The rarity of the material in this set is the main attraction of this set, as well as the color cover photos (back cover has good photos of Page & Plant).
Track listing: Side 1: Immigrant Song/ Heart Breaker/ Since I've Been Loving You/ Black Dog Side 2: Dazed And Confused Side 3: Stairway To Heaven/ That's The Way/ Going To California Side 4: Whole Lotta Love/ Boogie Woogie/ Hello Mary Lou/ Minnesota Blues/ Blues Dedicated To Sheryl S./ I Want You Bonny Airport But You Shook Me Cover shows faint ring wear and edgewear. All four corner have some creasing upon close inspection. Cover grade is Very Good Plus. Heavy vinyl discs have plain yellow & purple labels with no print at all. Original owner has labelled 3 out of 4 sides with small writing in pen ("1", "2", "3"). Vinyl is clean and glossy, both showing a small collection of very light marks & spindling. Vinyl plays with some crackling at the start of the first cuts, which then recedes greatly behind the music. Vinyl grade is EXCELLENT.
