Description

This is the rare original mono pressing of Lee Morgan “The Gigolo” on the Liberty labels of Blue Note BLP 4212 – one of only 17 issues that Blue Note custom pressed for radio stations that had not yet converted to stereo transmission.  The playing surface is in VG++ to Ex condition, with a high luster.  The cover is in EX condition – bright and clean throughout – with the “MONO” sticker affixed to the upper left corner. Liberty inner sleeve is included.  Personnel include Wayne Shorter, Harold Mabern, Bob Cranshaw, and Billy Higgins.
