Blue Note 1557 by Lee Morgan: Vol 3. With Gigi Gryce, Benny Golson, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, Charlie Persip. One of Lee Morgans' best, with Benny Golson arrangements. Original deep groove pressing with 47 West 63rd New York 23  address. Earlug and RVG scribed in the runoff.  Cover is slightly bowed, with very moderate rubwear on the front, a little more on the back. Back cover also has foxing spots, and is not as clean looking as in the photo. Top seam has a 1/2 inch split at the mouth, a 1 inch split at the spine corner. Spine has a 1 inch split at the top seam corner and chipping on the bottom two inches. Bottom seam has light chipping and a 1/2 inch split at the mouth. The Cover has a slighty musty smell. Labels are clean with a lot of spindle marks and a couple of light brown stains the size of a pencil diameter.  Vinyl has hairline scratches and scuff marks, and some needle drop scratches. This plays with background ticks and pops, and some light back pressing hiss. The music far overpowers the background noise, but the noise is there.  This was cleaned by hand. A machine cleaning would probably benefit the sound somewhat. Grade cover VG, vinyl VG.
