Description

Seltene US Pressung von Lee Morgan's 3. LP aus dem Jahr 1957, seine zweite für Blue Note (Blue Note 1557), Matrix Nr. RNG BN-LP-1557, Deep Groove, 33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing, Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd, New York 23. Platte und Cover sind entsprechend ihrem Alter sehr gut erhalten. Platte hat minimale Hairlines und läuft ohne Störgeräusche durch. Das Cover ist oben in der Mitte ca. 9 cm leicht aufgerissen und noch einmal ca.2,5 cm am Einschub (siehe Foto). Das Laminat löst sich leicht am Einschub, ist aber ansonsten in sehr gutem Zustand. Die weiße Coverrückseite zeigt leichte Abnutzungsspuren, die aber nicht gravierend sind (siehe Foto). Beide Label sind sauber. Auf Seite 1 ist ein ca 2 cm x 1,3 cm kleiner Sticker des Schallplattengeschäftes aufgeklebt, das die Platte ursprünglich verkauft hat. Lee Morgan's Vol. 3 ist ein absolutes Meisterwerk des Hard Bop, eingespielt mit einer seiner besten Formationen bestehend aus Gigi Gryce - Alto Sax, Benny Golson - Tenor Sax, Wynton Kelly - Piano, Paul Chambers - Bass, Charlie Persip - Drums. Vor allem in diesem nur selten angebotenen Gesamtzustand ein "Must Have" nicht nur für Blue Note Sammler.

Rare US-Pressing of Lee Morgan's third album from 1957, his second for Blue Note (Blue Note 1557), Matrix No. RNG BN-LP-1557, Deep Groove, 33 1/3 Microgroove Long Playing, Blue Note Records, 47 West 63rd, New York 23. Record and Cover are in an excellent condition. The vinyl is shiny with some hairlines which don't effect the sound quality. Record plays throughout without any serious noise or crackling. The cover has a seamsplit of 9 cm in the middle on top and 2,5 cm on top from the opening (see photograph). The laminate is slightly damaged at the opening but still very good on most parts of the cover (see photograph). The back shows some wear but no serious damage (see photograph). The labels are clean. There is a small sticker (2 cm x 1,3 cm) on side 1. You won't see this record very often in such a stunning condition. A Hard bop masterpiece and a must have not only for Blue Note collectors.
