LEE MORGAN: "VOLUME 3" LP - On BLUE NOTE Records, #1557. Extremely rare vintage jazz Lp! Original MONO pressing with the classic Blue & White labels and the 47 WEST 63rd NEW YORK 23 address on both labels. The label is DEEP GROOVE on both sides. "EAR" symbol and RVG etched in the trail-off on both sides. Thick vinyl, thick laminated cardboard cover. The personnel: Lee Morgan/trumpet; Gigi Gryce/alto sax; Benny Golson/tenor sax; Wynton Kelly/piano; Paul Chambers/bass; Charlie Persip/drums. The thick laminated cover is in VG+ shape & displays nicely. Small signature on back side. There are only a couple small isolated areas of seam wear/splitting along spine. No cut-out marks, and the front cover graphics are particularly striking. Address on back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. The vinyl: Side 2 is in VG condition, very glossy in spite of some sleeve marks & light scratches; Side 1 is G+, retains gloss in spite of some sleeve marks, light scratches & a few audible "feeler" scratches. Not a high-grade copy of this artifact by any means, but amazingly hard to find in any condition. The songs are: Hasaan's Dream; Domingo; I Remember Clifford; Mesabi Chant; Tip-Toeing.
