Description
The Upsetters - The Good, The Bad and The Upsetters (TTL67)
This is a white label of Lee Perry's Jamaican version of The Good, The Bad & The Upsetters, issued in 1971 in response to Trojan releasing an Upsetters LP in the UK that he had not been involved in. Other than the name and the sleeve, it has nothing in common with the UK LP (TBL119).
There is nothing on the A side run out groove. The B side has WED+3+B stamped and then scratched out, with a hand scratched TTL 67 B next to it.
The labels are fairly rough off-white paper. The A side has a letter or a number written in marker pen and a finger print smudge. There is a tear of approximately 0.5cm coming out of the spindle hole. The B side is clean and has just a tiny bit of damage around the center indentation.
It comes in a UK sleeve for TBL119, but this may not be the original sleeve as it is supposed to have the different tracklist pasted on to the back which this does not. The sleeve has a few creases and some wear around the edges as can be seen in the photographs.
The record has quite a few visible marks, but plays through without skipping. Parts of it play as well as Good +, whilst others would probably have to be described as Fair because of clicks and other noises.
