Beethoven, "The Nine Symphonies of Beethoven" - Soloists: Inge Borkh, Soprano, Ruth Siewert, Contralto, Richard Lewis, Tenor, Ludwig Weber, Bass, The Beecham Choral Society, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, René Leibowitz conducts.
First release of this famous recordings on RCA Records as a 7 records box out of RCA`s Living Stereo Classical program - only released on RCA/Reader`s Digest Records, first blue/silver label, 20 page booklet included, -. # RCA/Reader`s Digest RDS-34-(1-7), USA pressing, about mid 60s I think.
Records cleaned with record cleaning machine - Keith Monks -. Condition: records look like and play near Mint / cover: Mint-.
These Beethoven Symphonies recordings by Mr. Leibowitz are the best I`ve heard so far and it is really difficult to get these records in good shape. During the years I got about 8 or ten boxes. Although the records looked good, most of them were defective pressings, especially with distortions and lots of surface noise. This one is in a really great condition. It`s from my private collection.
