British 1st release gatefold edition of the film soundtrack to ’The Five Pennies’ (1958, dir. Melville Shavelson). Music composed and conducted by Sylvia Fine and Leith Stevens. This edition has a picture story book insert.
The film, about the band leader Loring Red Nichols, starred Danny Kaye, Barbara Bel Geddes and Louis Armstrong.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom):
Vinyl: F. Unsoiled on visual inspection. Lots of scuffing, hairlines and marks on both sides. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is fair. Lots of static and surface noise at run-ins and throughout. This is more obvious during quieter cues and fadeouts. Jumps in places as well. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking but little more than a collection filler.
Outer Sleeve/Cover: F. Colours are unfaded and clean. Superb laminated wraparound gatefold. Minor delamination in places and sellotape reinforcement on spine. Tear in bottom left corner on spine. Corner nicks and edge wear rubbing. Inner gate and most of insert book pages have staining but intact. Original owner handwritten in inside front cover. Overall, just fair.
Inner Sleeve: VG. Original. Poly-lined white paper with centre hole. Folding and creasing but intact.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
