Description

Lenny and the Squigtones (the band) is headed by Michael McKean and David Lander, the two actors who played Lenny and Squiggy on the TV series Laverne & Shirley.  This album, Lenny and Squiggy Present Lenny and the Squigtones, was released in 1979.  It was recorded live at the Roxy in Hollywood, and Lenny and Squiggy perform parodies of 50's rock ballads with some comical banter in between.
The LP is a cut out, meaning it was an album returned by the retailer as unsold, which allowed the distributor to sell it at a discounted price.   Wikipedia confirms that "the album is now a collector’s item because of credited guitar work by future Spinal Tap member Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest). A photo on the inside cover also includes two band members, "Murph", the keyboard player from The Blues Brothers, and "Ming the Merciless," purported to be Kiss drummer Peter Criss without his famous "cat" costume and make-up, though Criss denies it was him. McKean has confirmed that the drummer in the photograph is actually Don Poncher."
In spite of the cut out, this album remains unopened, wrapped, and never played.  Seller pays for shipping.  Happy bidding!
