- I don't know how many of you out there are old enough to remember this one but it was a classic in several ways.
- With very little airplay except on Jazz radio this album was #1 on the Jazz chart, #3 on the R&B chart and hit #29 on the Pop album chart.
- Through in-store play and word-of-mouth it crossed over and reached a younger rock audience.
- It was such a sensation that the performance and the album put the Montreux Jazz Festival on the map.
- This is a 2010 reissue of the original 1969 release.
