Description
Norgran Records MG N-1054 Lester Young's "The President Plays with the Oscar Peterson Trio," 12 inch used vinyl LP, mono. Recorded in 1952 and released in 1956.
The eight tracks are:
Side One Ad Lib Blues Just You, Just Me Tea for Two
Side Two Indiana I Can't Get Started On The Sunny Side Of The Street Almost Like Being in Love There Will Never Be Another You
The LP showcases Young's talents with the Tenor Saxophone, his musical creativity and improvisational skills within the genre. To me it also seems like on multiple tracks Young's effort raises the waterline for the great flotilla of Oscar Peterson and his Sidemen.
Prior to play-grading the album was thoroughly cleaned using the Spin Clean MKII Record Washing System. Clean black vinyl LP play-graded Good Plus Condition. Multiple visible scratches and paper liner scuffs which are audible on both sides, hence the reduced price.
Please be prepared for audible scratches on both sides of the LP. Expect some snap, crackle and pop (with clean moments sublime).
Short skip on side two, track one (Indiana). No warping.

Labels are clean, text is easily readable. No excess spindle hole wear or major spindle hole marks.
Jacket (Liner) is graded Very Good Plus Condition, with minor age wear. Fiber is thick, clean and generally sturdy, but it is becoming stiffer with age.
Colors and liner front shine is terrific, text easy to read. Spines are straight. Minor top spine seam split from RH corner inward, about 1/2" long, see closeup. Corners in good condition.

No cutout marks, drill holes, saw cuts, clipped corners, major creases, water stains, ink or pen marks.
Mild fiber aging on rear liner edges.
Aftermarket anti-static/scuff inner sleeve (inlay) in new condition.
Play-graded on a Pro-ject Xpression III Turntable with Ortofon Red 2 Stylus and Cartridge tracking at 1.8g.
