Lew Tabackin sax -
TRACKIN' -
Rca Direct-Cut Master Lab Series RDCE-3 -
Japanese Pressing - 45RPM -
STUNNING!

It is always a great surprise when you play a record that is so startling in its realism.

That quite literally the hair on your arms stands, is something one never grows accustomed to when in the presence of reality, sonically, that you simply cannot see.  Leaves one a bit disheveled, albeit pleasantly.

So, about this record, I am just going to say straight-out: I guarantee that you have never heard in your listening room a sax quite this real, unless you have someone at home who plays the instrument.

Uncanny realism here, as Lew Tabackin on sax and flute, together with his quartet, including Shelly Manne on drums, take on SUMMERTIME, I'M ALL SMILES, COTTON TAIL, and TRACKIN'.

Simply one of the finest discs I have ever heard for highlighting an instrument, here in a jacket without major fault, just a hint of shelf and ring.  Inside, the Japan Victor pressing, direct-cut at 45RPM, should play near mint.

An incredible record, simply stunning.

Shipping and handling is $4 for a single LP shipped within the States; $1 for each additional LP. Internationally, $18.60 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is $11.95; $3 each additional.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
