Light Crust Doughboys--Vocalion 05092--1939
Original 78 rpm record, Vocalion 05092, Light Crust Doughboys, We Found Her Little Pussy Cat b/w You Got What I Want. Recorded in Dallas 14 June 1939. The A side was an "answer song" to the previous year's recording of "Pussy Pussy Pussy" [Vocalion 04560, recorded November 1938]. Playing surface is still somewhat shiny, with moderate dulling to finish, but no chips, cracks, warping, or other damage. Very minor background noise and actually plays better than it looks.
A somewhat forgotten double-entendre tune from the early days of Western Swing, great recording for any collector of Western Swing/Light Crust Doughboys or risque/"party" 78 records and is in Very Good Plus [VG+] condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
78 RECORD SHIPPING PROCEDURE: Record is wrapped in a heavy duty plastic sleeve and then sleeved with three pieces of stiff cardboard on each side, securely taped all around. Entire assembly is then triple wrapped with bubble wrap and packed in a stout, well-marked shipping box. Records will be shipped USPS Media Mail unless otherwise requested.
