Description
Up for bid is a very rare 78, "Bad Things On My Mind / I'm Wild About You Baby," by Lightening (Lightnin') Hopkins. This was released by Decca Records (48321). LP is VG, with scuffs and scratches on both sides. There are several small chipped areas along the outside perimeter of the 78 (none in the playable area) and no cracks. There is a noticeable scratch in the beginning of the track "Bad Things On My Mind" (which produces 4 noticeable pops). I have listened to both sides, and there were no skips. However, there is hiss, crackle, tics, and pops. 78 needs to be cleaned. Interior labels show wear, and there is a check mark in grease pencil on the side that contains "Bad Things On My Mind." Stamped matrix info reads W84972T6A / W84971T6A. I have searched both popsike and , and have found that this 78 has never appeared on Ebay before. This is a true rarity - don't miss this scarce Blues gem! We will pack this securely for safe delivery with plenty of cardboard inserts. (Package will be a little heavy.) We have sold and shipped 78s in the past, so be assured that this will be packaged safely. Domestic delivery will be via USPS media mail including a tracking number.
