Super-Clean and super-scarce copy of this UK re-issue on Transatlantic's sub-label, XTRA from 1967.
This classic country blues album was originally released in the US in 1961 on Prestige Bluesville. This UK re-issue followed some years later before several re-issues began to appear throughout the 1970s & 80s.

Vinyl: Ex. A super clean copy with only the lightest of superficial hairlines and retaining a lovely deep lustre and sheen - incredible for an album that's just turned 50!! Play-tested and reproduction is still fantastic. Plays through perfectly with no jumps or skips. Labels are standard white & red company design with black label-text and red rim-text. The labels are clean with no scuffs, stains or blemishes. Some evidence of spindle-wear.
Sleeve: VG+. Super condition for its age. It's a laminated flip-back with a picture of the man himself, wearing straw hat, shades & open necked shirt, picking his guitar with a cigarette stuck to his lower lip. The rear cover is unlaminated and contains extensive sleeve notes by Mack McCormick. Print finishing by Dawson Rossiter Ltd of London. There is a penned name on the rear cover, top left (see photo).
Structurally, the sleeve is in good shape. Laminate has no tears but has started to bubble slightly bottom left. Flip-backs are all secure and the edges remain sharp.
It's a super copy of this first UK version, albeit a re-issue of the US original. Genuine collectors item & seldom seen on this or other sites.
