Lightnin' Hopkins and Sonny Terry: Last Night Blues  Analogue Productions Stereo: Near Mint/Near Mint  Vinyl is super clean Near Mint played only by me once! The only flaw would be minor superficial scuffs/hairlines from taking the record out of it's inner plastic lined sleeve.  I played it last night and this sounds absolutely fantastic.  AP pressings are known for their fantastic fidelity.  Limited Edition # 0818 of 250!  Cover is super clean and still looks brand new with super nice gloss.  Original plastic lined paper inner sleeves are in excellent condition. Original plastic wrap is included.

Sam “Lightnin’” Hopkins, a true poet who invented most of his lyrics on the spot and never seemed to run out of new ideas, was a blues giant of post-war blues whose style was rooted in pre-war Texas traditions. While he cranked up his amp to fierce proportions when performing for his friends at Houston juke joints, producers who recorded him for the so-called folk-blues market usually insisted that he use an acoustic guitar for more “authentic” results. Either way, Lightnin’ seldom made a bad record, and this June 4, 1963, session on which he played acoustic was among his finest, thanks much to the sensitive support of bassist Leonard Gaskin and drummer Herbie Lovelle, who did a remarkable job of following his irregular bar patterns and abrupt song endings.

I am selling off my entire rock and roll and Jazz collection that I've been collecting for over 40 years.  This is a fantastic sounding mix and it sounds fantastic! You all know that the 60's, 70's and 80's vinyl pressings are the way to go and the recording, mastering, quality, and sound are FANTASTIC! You won't find this stuff anymore. Just take a listen for yourself like I did.

Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards. That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion! I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!! All my Lp's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew! The viny has just the tiniest of hairlines and the white labels are gorgeous! No pops, tics or scratchiness. Just pure analog mono bliss!
