Prestige Bluesville 1076, “Creepin’ Blues” with Alec Seward, vocals and guitar; Larry Johnson, mouth harp; from 1963. Trident-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. The jacket is about VG++ with minor wear on lower seam only. Corners are square, there is one minor corner bump, there are no bends, and the jacket back is very clean with a small number written at upper right, a price code marked at lower right, and a bit of what appears to be factory ink at lower left (see scan). Songs are “Big Hip Mama”, “Evil Woman Blues”, “Goin’ Down Slow”, “Sweet Woman”, “Some People Say”, “Creepin’ Blues”, “I Made a Mistake in Love”, “Piney Woods”, “Late One Saturday Evening”, and “Let a Good Thing Do”. Alec Seward, sometimes known as Alec Stewart, spent his career mainly as sideman working with a number of artists including Sonny & Brownie, but he finally managed to put out one LP for Prestige just as the Bluesville series was ending its run. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
